Registered Psychotherapist
Carolyn Whatley RP, RMFT
Growing up in Thunder Bay, my earliest experiences of healing and wellness came through connection with the land and time spent in the Boreal Forest surrounding my childhood home. These origins serve as the foundation of my work as a therapist collaborating with individuals, couples, families, and communities seeking to heal historic and ongoing relational, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wounds.
Throughout my life, the majestic, unruly white pine has offered a place of safety, strength, and courage on my journey and I am so thankful to live in a place surrounded by these timeless guardians of peace and reconciliation.
personal and professional background
Along with my personal journey of healing and recovery from loss and trauma, my education, training, and research foundations provide a depth of expertise and skill to draw from as a registered marriage and family therapist with several specializations and diverse professional experiences. Parallel to my graduate education as a therapist, I also obtained a graduate degree in social justice and certification in spiritual formation.
Over Twenty Years Experience
For over twenty years I have worked with people who are struggling with:
- Grief and loss
- Trauma symptoms
- Broken relationships
- Depression and anxiety
- Recovery from abuse, oppression, and discrimination
Therapy Modalities
I also have extensive experience and training with individuals and families struggling with the impacts of substance misuse and behavioural addiction. I draw from these professional and personal resources when collaborating with clients to develop a treatment plan which centres them in their healing story and builds on existing resilience and strengths. This approach is based on the belief that you have everything needed to heal within – I support you to access this and bring it out.

Registered Psychotherapist
Heather LeQuant RP, MA MFT
Growing up in Newfoundland gave me a deep appreciation for connection and community. This inspires me to prioritize relationships and bring this awareness into the spaces I am part of. This knowledge and lived experience informs my practice as a therapist as I seek to provide a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment for clients.
Through an attachment-based and developmental approach, I work with clients to explore difficult behaviour patterns as well as the meaning, purpose, and feelings related to these patterns. This provides a safe space to identify wounds and release the pain associated with them.
While I work with clients of all ages, I specialize in supporting children and youth who are struggling. I meet each individual where they are at; providing developmentally appropriate therapeutic play, activities, and games as we journey towards wholeness and healing. These activities help to increase emotional awareness, strengthen regulation skills, and provide space to release big feelings.
I look forward to connecting with and supporting you, or someone you care for, on the journey of healing.
